Say A Prayer for Myles Please

He goes in tomorrow for his final (I hope) HW treatment. My little parolee wants to run so badly. He has attached hisself to Merlin - the cocker on crack - he needs to run and investigate and hunt down leezardz and such. Mylee needs needs needs to get back to being a healthy happy little pooch.

God bless your little Marlee. I'll pray for him, too. I want to see pics of him at a blurred run when this is all over and he's well again _Marie

This next treatment will likely make him feel just as bad as the first one, but then you're in the home stretch. You'll need to have him tested again several months from now, and occasionally the test will show a false positive. And even more rare would be the chance that he really would still have heartworms. Wishing him well, and you too. You're the one that has to worry about it. He just waits until he feels better again.

Serious? Oh God - I dumped his pain meds cause vet said this was gonna be the least of what he's gone thru. Two weeks after tomorrow he's to go on HW meds. Crap Ann - I NEED you to be wrong on this one. Poor little guy's been thru enough already. geez

The second round isn't always as bad, but then again sometimes it seems just the same. Don't be too surprised if he's as miserable as the first time. I hope he's not.

Final shot given and I did express my concern to the vet that I have no more pain meds. He said he wouldn't need them and - HALLELUJAH! - he was right! Still hasn't got a clean bill-o-health though. Vet wants to see him in another 3 weeks. No shots next time. I'm guessing that's when he gets his HW recheck. Still no pills until then but he is now allowed off-leash but it is advisable to keep him quiet for another month. Thanks for all paws crossed!
