when mine was just a teeny lil guy, he would scarf it down, but in the past year he has slowed down. Now he take a mouth full, brings it out of the kitchen and eats it slowly on the carpet, but just the first bite, lol...
then he'll go back and eat the rest slowly at his bowl. Silly dog.

My Cookie is a nut when it comes to eating. I was so afraid she would get bloat from eating to fast that I would put a ball in the center of her food to stop her from going so fast. This worked for awhile until she got to smart and would pick the ball out of the bowl then eat. So I found a product called, Brake Fast Dog Bowl. It is designed to make your dog eat slow! Really an amazing dog bowl!! Worth every penny!

My dog eats fast. He would eat his food readily. I don't think this is a problem.
