This is an age old debate. My advise is do not feed raw eggs because not only do raw eggs have a danger of salmonella bacteria they also have an enzyme called avidin that blocks B complex vitamins from being absorbed into the body.
My treats vary with what I am trying to accomplish. If it's a new behavior I get out the good stuff. Usually a little cold chicken or meat from last night's dinner given in tiny morsels. Or if we are drilling behaviors that have already been learned I'll use regular kibble or some small holistic training treats. Usually use a salmon and duck treat. It's easily broken into tiny bits and they love the stinky stuff!!!
