Good Book
I've just read The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski about a family who breeds dogs, and their son, who is mute, who trains them using sign language. A very different sort of book, very interesting, and with keen insight into the ways of dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I read it several months ago. Kind of strange but interesting.

Wonder why it is every author of critter books has to have a sad ending...

I believe part of every story seems a bit sad because the stories are about the trials and tribulations connected to the dog-human bond. Unfortunately, even with a happy ending there is a truly sad component.

I always have to read the ending first and get it over with, then I can enjoy the rest of the book!
